One God
who reveals Himself to mankind in three persons: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
God the Father
the all-powerful Maker of all things seen and unseen.
Jesus Christ
God’s only Son, the one true Savior. Jesus of Nazareth was fully human and fully divine. He was conceived in the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. He suffered and died by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate. He was buried but after three days rose from the dead in bodily form. He ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He will return and judge all people -- people who are still living and people who have died.
The Holy Spirit
who indwells every believer in Christ and is an active member of the Trinity.
The Bible
God inspired the original writings of scripture which were thus without error. God's Word is First Christian Church's authority for belief and practice.
Sin
Man was made by God but willfully rebelled against Him. Apart from Jesus, we have no hope of being reconciled to God.
Salvation
the forgiveness of sins, which is only attainable by grace through the blood of Jesus.
Obediently accepting God's grace
by believing in Jesus Christ, turning away from sin, confessing Jesus Christ, and being baptized into Christ by water immersion.
The Church
the Body of Christ, which includes all Christians.
scriptural leadership
The elders are the overseers of the local church body.
